SC Farm Report on Monday

   National direct slaughter cattle weekly summary. Weighted averages
for all grades, Standard to Prime, mostly Select and Choice. Live FOB
steers 1,449 lbs 124.98, heifers 1,317 lbs 124.88. Dressed delivered 
steers 918 lbs 199.88, heifers 826 lbs 199.83.  Weekly boxed beef 
cutout values for 600-900 carcass weights Choice 216.86, up 0.21, and 
Select 212.32, dn 0.32.
   National direct feeder pigs last Friday, per head weighted average
prices are delivered to the buyer's farm.  Early weaned pigs steady. All 
Feeder pigs steady to 1.00 per head lower. Demand moderate for moderate 
offerings. Receipts include 41% formulated prices. Feeder pigs 10-12 lbs 
cash basis 56.53; 40 lbs cash basis 69.03.
   Hogs on Friday. Plant delivered weighted average. National direct 
Barrows & Gilts US 1 50-54% lean 240-300 lbs was 1.07 lower at 38.50.  
Sows live price 300-449 lbs 28.97, 450-499 lbs 33.39, and 500-549 lbs 
37.61.
   SC Grain on Monday. New Crop Corn was 1 cent lower; elevator
bids 4.02-4.28, processor bids 4.32-4.62.  Soybeans were mostly 9 to 10 
cents lower and one location was 1 cent higher; elevator bids 8.30-8.65, 
processor bid 9.05 export bid 9.15.  New crop wheat was mixed, 2 cents 
lower to 1 cent higher; elevator bids 4.83-5.22. 
   Cotton on Monday. Southeast base price for 41-4/34 grade was 2.00 
lower at 68.05.
